School council welcomed Tan Dhesi, our local MP, to Godolphin. He told them all about his career in politics and what is involved. The children got to ask lots of questions ranging from education, to the NHS, to crime. They really enjoyed the experience and were proud to have had their voices heard.
For this year's Harvest Festival, GJA donated food to our local food bank at 'Church of God Prophecy' and also held assemblies, led by Pastor Cecil Boyd, to raise awareness. Thank you all for your donations!
GJA participated in Children in Need Day. Our students wore fancy dress, something yellow or spotty to raise awareness. We all started the day with an active walk and then completed some activities. We raised an amazing £262.66!
Our students enjoy using their chromebooks as a resource to support their learning further within the classroom.
Children's Mental Health Week
The week 6-12th February 2023 was Children's Mental Health Week and at GJA we had an assembly, had a Votes for Schools lesson, had a day where we all wore clothes that expressed our happiness and completed some activities to support our mental health and well-being. We all had a lovely week and learnt more about the importance of mental health and well-being.
