Children are selected by their teachers to participate in a nurture group as it is beneficial for those children to develop their emotional resilience. Each week, two groups from year 5 and year 6 partake in different skills through a variety of enjoyable, interactive activities that build their social skills and confidence.
Godolphin children learn how to build and retain new friendships
The children learn mindfulness techniques to calm their minds and bodies through breathing exercises and focusing on positivity. They have an opportunity to share their concerns with others which helps them understand that everyone has apprehensions and anxieties. This helps build a greater awareness of their needs and others. Children offer advice to one another, and build a supporting network.
Our children learn from mistakes and learn how to repair them, knowing when and how to apologise. They build stronger relationships through this.
