On Site Learning- Monday 2th May 2020
Yesterday the on site children put their design and technology skills to the test making castles.
They are made from recycling, toilet roll holders and cardboard boxes and the pupils only had 1 hour to construct their buildings. They painted and decorated them and used glue guns to secure them.
Linking with the buildings in Varmints and the castle in the Pobble 365 writing challenge, the pupils were inspired to create these large structures.
I think you’ll agree they are impressive! Why not have a go at home, it’s a great way to use packaging and teaches many skills in a fun and hands on way!
Well done to those children who are reading and taking quizzes on REN. You may have noticed that not all of the books on myOn have quizzes, Miss Ring, who is a member of the REN team, has made a list of all the books (900 of them) that do have quizzes on myOn. The books are in ZPD order so it is easier for your child to see which books fall within their ZPD level. They can then find the book on myOn and enjoy reading. Children can also read books from home, just check the arbookguide website to see if the book is on REN. There will be a weekly celebration REN report each week, starting from Monday 27th April.
Below is a link to a list of ebooks available to the MyOn website with the REN quiz number next to the title.
How to read and complete REN quizzes at home:
Choose a book from the list above.
Go to https://readon.myon.co.uk
Search for the book title. Select Read.
Once the book has been read, log onto REN.Search for the book and complete the quiz as normal. (Please ensure only the link to REN on the school website is used)
NB: Before reading the book on myon, it might be useful to log onto REN to check you have chosen the correct books as several books my have the same title.
