Global Park 60

Global Park 60

Picture 1

Please meet our sponsored children from across the globe! At Godolphin, we have welcomed Ebrima, Amarilis, Dhristi and Tuyshimire. You can read all about them below. The Park Federation schools raised over £28,000 by holding a charity event in each academy called 'Lark in the Park'. We then donated this money to Action Aid who used it to sponsor children across the globe to have access to education as well as clean water and medicines. Each year group, in each Park Federation academy welcomed a sponsored child - this equates to 60 children in total, and so our initiative became known as Global 60. As Godolphin have four year groups, we are working with four children. We send letters, art work, postcards and gifts and we receive updates back. You can keep updated with the latest news from our global classmates on this page. Enjoy!

Dear Year 5 pupils,
We received wonderful news. Our sponsored friend, Dhristi from Nepal, sent us a lovely update. In her letter, she mentioned that they’re experiencing regular rain showers and that this is the ideal time to plant rice. We would like you to write back to her thanking her for the letter and updating Dhristi on what you're currently busy with.  After you’ve written your letter, please ask your parents to email your letter to your teacher. We will send your letters to Dhristi. Happy writing!
